Recent Plans
Some of recent plans:
- 8/6 - camping in locust lake state park
- 8/16 - picking up my mom from JFK airport
I am the kind of person who camp for camping. That means, it is not because I need a cheap place to stay over nite so I do camping. I just love it without any other reasons. I enjoy the warm camping fire, the cracks of the wood, the dark star sky, the fresh smell breeze and everything else in the natural form. Only then can I feel peaceful in my mind. :) This trip is going to be the last camping trip this summer.
Have no further plan for her trip yet. But I will try my best to arrange something that she likes. God knows I am a naturally-born planner. haha.
There are things I want to do but just cannot find time to do. I have hoped to visit the Metropolitian museum in NYC for long long long time. The varity of things always amaze me. Save this for later.

Weekend Report
Weekend is busier than weekdays... hoho... Let me list the things we did last weekend.
Eating:
1. Had dinner buffet in Royal Buffet. Their crabs and shrimps are fresher than other buffet places.
2. Cooked sugar lotus root, beef (niu2 jin1) and chestnut chicken with eggs. hoho... All slower cooker dishes.
3. Cooked vegetable soup, bean tips, eggplants... all homecook style... love them
Shopping:
1. Visited Office Depot. To get the box for our desktop for rebate. Found 3 phone lines in that box so there must be some unlucky man without any phone lines.
2. Visited Walmart twice!!! Once for cat litter, then another time for planting pots and soil.
3. Visited Farmer's Market for watermelons. They got good fresh ones there!!!
4. Visited Pet's Supplies to buy cat grass and cat finger nail clip.
Working:
1. Finished updated version of presentation.
2. Met boss for 1 hour on Saturday.
Entertainment:
1. Watched 3 movies. :p
Housework:
1. Whole apartment cleaning.
2. Laundary.
3. Clipped kitten's finger nails.
4. Replanted gardenia, separated sun flowers, and started cat grass seeds.
5. Gave plant food to all plants.
Sometimes I cannot believe how I can sqeeze so many things into 2 days... However, those happen again and again and again.... :))
HAPPY MONDAY (hopefully!)

Just bought new desktop!
emachines t3882: Intel celeron D 335(2.8GHz) 533 FSB; 256MB; 80GB, XP home, DVD/CDRW combo, 6 usb 2.0; ethernet;56k, intel extreme graphics 2, keyboard/mouse/speakers
picked it up yesterday from office depot. 209$ + tax - 50$ rebate = 170$. (priced as 399$ in circuit city) i don't expect it to be a fantastic computer but should be better than my current 130$ used IBM desktop. i just need a computer for word processing and tiny programming.
i will pick up a used 17" CRT monitor from a friend for free this weekend. soon i will have another desktop la. :-))
BTW, if anyone is reading this blog and lives around lehigh, the Office Depot in white hall area has really cheap stuff!!!! yesterday i bought 3 packs of 6 notebooks (18 totally). it was 0.6$ + tax/6 notebooks. so 18 books were 1.91$. amazing... ah? of coz they're not top quality. but the notebook is thick and good enough for me. i noticed other stuff in very low price there... very surprising... though the manager is a very very talkie guy... another freaking point i feel at that store...

Another Song to Recommend (Unbelievable by EMF)
I am not copying lyrics because I am lazy... I really love this song and managed to find it online through some efforts.
Pretty stressed out recently... I promise to people what I can do for them: work, family, friends, everything. Then I found I could find little time to complete every of them, while I hate to hand out something less than perfect. YEAH. Perfectionist. Is it ironic to be pessimistic while being a perfectionist? :D
Anyway, I like this song. It is a song I can listen with the volume at the highest while driving alone in the darkness. Then I will feel free to cry or laugh out loud...
===================
Unbelievable by EMF
You burden me with your questions
You'd have me tell no lies
You're always asking what it's all about
But don't listen to my replies
You say to me I don't talk enough
But when I do I'm a fool
These times I've spent, I've realized
I'm going to shoot through
And leave you
The things, you say
Your purple prose just gives you away
The things, you say
You're unbelievable
You burden me with your problems
By telling me more than mine
I'm always so concerned
With the way you say
You've always go to stop
To think of us being one
Is more than I ever know
But this time, I realize
I'm going to shoot through
And leave you
Seemingly lastless, don't mean
You can ask us
Pushing down the relative
Bringing out your higher self
Think of the fine times
Pushing down the better few
Instead of bringing out the clues
To what the world and everything anger to
Brace yourself with the grace of ease
I know this world ain't what it seems.
What the fuck was that
It's unbelievable

A Song I Like (Bitch by Meredith Brooks)
Very good song. Quite close to my personality.
My favorite part:
"You do what you do
And don't try to save me"
and
"So take me as I am
This may mean you'll have to be a stronger man"
==========================================
Bitch
Meredith Brooks
==========================================
I hate the world today
You're so good to me, I know but I can't change
Tried to tell you but you looked at me like maybe I'm an angel underneath
Innocent and Sweet
Yesterday I cried
You must have been relieved to see the softer side
I can understand how you'd be so confused
I don't envy you
I'm a little bit of everything, all rolled into one
I'm a bitch, I'm a lover,
I'm a child, I'm a mother,
I'm a sinner, I'm a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I'm your hell, I'm your dream,
I'm nothin in between,
You know you wouldn't want it any other way.
So take me as I am
This may mean you'll have to be a stronger man
Rest assured that when I start to make you nervous
And I'm goin to extremes
Tomorrow I will change and today won't mean a thing
I'm a bitch, I'm a lover,
I'm a child, I'm a mother,
I'm a sinner, I'm a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I'm your hell, I'm your dream,
I'm nothin in between,
You know you wouldn't want it any other way.
Just when you think
You got me figured out
The season's already changing
I think it's cool,
You do what you do
And don't try to save me
I'm a bitch, I'm a lover,
I'm a child, I'm a mother,
I'm a sinner, I'm a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I'm your hell, I'm your dream,
I'm nothin in between,
You know you wouldn't want it any other way.
I'm a bitch, I'm a lover,
I'm a child, I'm a mother,
I'm a sinner, I'm a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I'm your hell, I'm your dream,
I'm nothin in between,
You know you wouldn't want it any other way.
I'm a bitch, I'm a tease
I'm a goddess on my knees
When you're hurt, when you suffer
I'm your angel undercover
I've been numb, I'm revived
Can't say I'm not alive
You know I wouldn't want it any other way...

DIY Cat Funiture

Very funny article
A good way to train a kitten
:) Finally we find a good way to train a kitten - "pennies in a can".
Just put some pennies in an empty soda can and seal the opening with some tape. Every time the kitten does something naughty, e.g. jumping on table, biting house plants, eating watermelon, shake the pan to make big noise. Our kitten is very scared of that noise and she stopped jumping on table after three tries.
Yesterday we finally have a peaceful dinner. :) The kitten is behaving nicely yesterday and we praised her a lot for being so nice and sweet. hoho.
This weekend we will do some pet shopping again... Target is a nice cat bowl for her food. :p Obviously the kitten spends more than us recently.

Simple Pleasure
